The Municipal Enterprise for Water Supply and Sewerage of Paros (MEWS Paros, also known as DEYA Paros) is a Legal Entity of Private Law created by the 47/1999 Decision of the Municipal Council of the Municipality of Paros after the approval of the South Aegean Region. It was established and operates in accordance with Law 1069/80 which provides for the establishment of Water Supply Municipal Enterprises in all Municipalities (Government Gazette of 2010 / 15-11-1999).
All rights, obligations, objects and responsibilities related to the water supply and the sewerage of Paros are automatically conceded by the Municipality of Paros to MEWS Paros.
