Please be advised that yesterday, 12/08/2018 at 23:00, there was a major damage to the main water supply pipe of Parikia. Following concerted efforts by DEYAP crews and its affiliates, it was possible to repair the damage at about 4:00 this morning. This, however, resulted in the emptying of the network and the exhaustion of the reserves in the cisterns. These quantities cannot be replenished in the next few days, given the excessively high demand in recent days.
So, there will be problems with water sufficiency in the wider area of Parikia. In particular, there will be water interruptions in the areas from Parasporos to Livadia and from Krotiri to Kamares.
Everyone is asked to help smooth out the problem by using water only for their basic needs. Any kind of outdoor, private and professional car washing, as well as filling of tanks from the network water, is forbidden for the next 7 days.
